After being invited to bat first, Gujarat Titans struggled against Bengaluru’s disciplined bowling attack and managed 155 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Washington Sundar was the standout performer for Gujarat with an unbeaten half-century, while Rasikh Salam claimed three wickets for Bengaluru.
In reply, Bengaluru got off to a strong start through Kohli and Venkatesh Iyer. Despite a brief fightback from Gujarat’s bowlers, Kohli anchored the chase with a composed innings filled with elegant stroke play. He sealed the victory with a six, sparking celebrations among players and thousands of fans in the stadium.
The triumph marks Bengaluru’s second consecutive IPL title and further strengthens Kohli’s legacy as one of the tournament’s greatest players. Captain Rajat Patidar also joined an elite group of leaders to win back-to-back IPL championships.
