Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a major missile operation targeting American military installations in the Middle East.
According to a statement released by the IRGC, its Aerospace Force launched 12 ballistic missiles against locations allegedly hosting US F-35, F-15, and F-16 fighter jets. The operation was described as a response to recent American military actions against Iranian targets.
Iranian state media reported that several military facilities were targeted, including airbases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Among the locations named were Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base and Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, as well as the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet and Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
The IRGC claimed the strikes caused significant damage to military infrastructure and aircraft. However, independent verification of these claims has not been released.
The reported missile attacks came after the United States carried out military operations against Iranian-linked targets. US officials stated the actions were taken in self-defense and warned that further pressure could follow if tensions continue to rise.
The developments mark another escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns about wider regional instability.
