Four young men from Lucknow were injured after their car overturned on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway while travelling to Nepal on Saturday morning.
According to police, the accident occurred near the Bhoomidhar underpass in the Sikriganj area when the vehicle collided with an unidentified vehicle.
The impact caused the car to lose control and flip over despite the airbags deploying.
The injured have been identified as Akshayan Singh Yadav, Saksham Tiwari, Viraj Gupta and Krishna Srivastava.
Police and emergency teams rushed to the scene and shifted the victims to Uruwa Community Health Centre before referring them to the district hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved in the crash.
